Scammer: Justin Murray
My location: Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Twat waffle's location: Pinkerington, Ohio. Story On Aug. 23rd I paid Justin Murray via Paypal in order to buy a A&K Mk43. On Aug. 25th Justin claimed that he had shipped. Asking for a tracking number was responded with, "yeah i just got back from school so ill send u a tracking" On Aug. 26th I reminded him I was waiting for tracking. He was online, but did not reply. On Aug. 28th I again asked for tracking. He was again online, but did not reply. On Aug. 31st I commented saying that I knew he had been online and had chosen not to open my messages. He was again online, but did not reply. On Sep. 2nd I commented on his original for sale page asking if others had gotten items they ordered. One individual claimed he did. Justin then responded saying my tracking number was on Paypal and that my estimated delivery date was Monday. Not only was there no tracking because I payed via the gift option (because I was foolish enough to believe that this kid wasn't a piece of trash) there isn't even a spot for tracking to be uploaded. Hence the whole idea of a "Gift". It is now Sep. 9th and no Mk.43 has arrived at my doorstep nor has my money been returned to me. Hide behind your computer Justin as I garun-****in-tee you you would never try and steal $160 out of my actual wallet you coward. If you are reading this, you are pathetic. If anyone knows this infantile human being, please message me or post below. |

...and for the record, if you hadn't paid via a Paypal gift, you would have had a method to get your money back. There's a reason Paypal charges you a little bit to receive a payment....to cover your butt in case this happens.

Paypal is almost worthless in disputes -- I've done three, and every time they told me that, while I was right, they couldn't get my money back as the other party had already withdrawn it. All three times, I had to contact my credit card company to get the money back.
To be fair, you still shouldn't gift money, though; you're basically signing away all rights to dispute anything. |

Problem was not solved. I have made contact with him and are working things out. He has agreed to having 48hrs to get me a new tracking number or the Pinkerington Police Department will be contacted and an internet fraud police report will be filed. Updates will be made with the final development.

Legionaire. We are not this kind of community. Work it out or go to small claims as I already stated on facebook. Consider this your final warning.... sales are between the buyer and seller and we do not need the bad pub for any of our members. Especially when contacts been made. Threats about calling the cops are also not needed. Police have no jurisdiction over online transactions. That's what paypal and your credit card company or bank is for..

I'd remove it if I have control over this forum.

Not this type of community? What type of community are you? A community that doesn't support informing future buyers of shady sellers? You'll have to let me know what your logic is behind that, because there isn't any.
You will also have to explain to me how this post is any different from these 4 other posts on this forum that you "never thought you'd ever see on here". http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/sh...hlight=Scammer http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=38493 http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/sh...hlight=Scammer http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/sh...hlight=Scammer Feel free to continue to warn me, or ban me, I don't give a ****. Any "community" that supports both the act of individuals ****ing people over or internet fraud is no community I want a part in. "bad pub"? lol. |

We have iTrader function to give feedback on transactions. The site does not benefit from private transaction and has always been buyer beware.
There have been those shining examples who have scammed above and beyond the typical AO scammer. They disappeared from the forums and action was taken privately. I think Sparky personally spoke ill of "He who shall not be named" and he simply ceased to exist. That said. Number one, unless you know the seller and have done business with him enough to have a good business relationship, use trackable means to pay for transactions. Gifting someone money is really only something you do with Loki, because, hey, its Loki. File a police report and provide them with the person's address and let the law take care of it. Chances are you will never see your money again. That's all I've got.
