Thumbs up Airsoft Electric SMG/PDW Suggestions, please help.

I've been looking for a light gun since I always run to grab downed people for the medic (since im small), and have found nothing that I really like. I want a suggestion under $275.00. Also, small assault rifles/carbines may work aswell. I am not a "good" or "advanced" player by any means, so I don't want the weapons to be too maintenance heavy. I've looked at UMP's, MP5's, and alot of other weapons and there seem to be alot of cons and problems with them. If it isn't a gas hog Gas guns would be okay too. Thanks for reading.
I will accept PM's or just comment.

I've heard good things about CYMAs MP5 PDW and their AKS74UNs

I have a UMP right now. The UMP is compact and super light. I'd also take a look at SG552's.

I would look at an electric mp7. They are small, light, in your price range, and I like the look of them.

This is all personal preference and opinion driven, so take everything with a grain of salt. My advice is to handle the guns your interested in, what looks great on paper might feel crappy in your hands.

Never seen an electric MP7, and the G&G's ive seen are a little big for what I want. I'll look for the MP7 though. Thanks for all the suggestions!

I can recommend the CYMA Mp5 pdw version. Its a great little gun with outstanding rate of fire and accuracy. I also have a Cyma CM035 ak 74u, I haven't had a chance to use it, but it seems very nice.

Define "small." I'm a medic, 5 foot 10ish, 140 pounds, and I run a G&G Raider. Very light and compact. I used to run into problems with my M16 which I used when I was smaller (not the greatest choice in hindsight for someone as small as I was, but I was new and I dealt with it) with turning and slamming my barrel into trees or hitting it on walls in CQB. With my Raider CQB, I don't have that problem anymore. As Stang said, though, this is just my opinion and you or others may differ.

By small I mean, SMG size-ish, and folding stocked assault rifles/carbines. Basically something I can throw on a 1 point sling and drop it to my side when I have to run for someone.

I would suggest one of the G&G Raiders or GR16s. They're small, very light, and you'll still get a decent range since they still have an M4 length barrel. Also, as other have suggested, an AK-74u with a folding stock, or an MP5K. An MP7 would probably be your best bet, however the KWA MP7 GBB is going to be your most easily obtainable option, and mags are going to run you a decent chunk.

Im a really small guy (5 foot 8and a bit 120 pounds) and I found that it's really gear weight that makes the difference and not gun weight/length.

G&P baby monster
http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/ai...onster_AEG.htm
Got mine from redwolf last Christmas. Has had no problems and is an absolute monster (literally) I hit people from crazy distances with such a short barrel. With a 7.4 stock it shoots about 23 rps and has an awesome hop up. I'm hitting guys at 120-150ish feet.
