Hello hello from NE Ohio

Hey guys, been lurking for a few weeks, and finally decided to join up. I had no idea there was an airsoft forum specifically for Ohio, and found it through google.

My friends and I have never played very seriously, and not even for very long. As noobs, we've got terrible equipment, but we recently picked up interest again, and actually made the trek down to Columbus yesterday to check out the Airsoft Alpha and Airsoft Smith stores. Minds were blown.

As we start to take things a bit more seriously and improve, we'll probably head out to some of the larger sanctioned events. We've already discussed it a bit and there's been interest, so hopefully we'll be seeing you on the fields. As always, time is the greatest commodity, so I won't make any promises, but we'll try.

Welcome to AO. There are a few fields semi close to you, Splatterpark in Mt Gilead, BTT in medina and synergy in grafton.
What Mac said, the BTT training would be a great way to start.

Glad you found us. I remember my first time at Airsoft Smith, and four years later, I'm still here. Good luck!

me and my friends have done the exact same thing! and we are attending the BTT 100 also, i praise who ever put this website together it saved me a ton of money because now i can use the equiptment i bought rather then let it go to waste. and in my opinion if you do any shopping do it at airsoft smith they back their product 100% i some how managed to get soap or something in my battery terminal and while trying to fix it i continued to break it and the fixed it for free and saved me like 35 bucks!!

Wow! This was a much warmer welcome than I expected! I'd love to head out to the BTT on April 10th, but I'm already slotted to help my buddy swap a new motor into his wagon on that day (my other vice...). At this point I've got a springer shotty and a NBB co2 pistol from Dicks, so it might be a bit embarrassing. I dunno if the NBB would even be allowed since it shoots pretty hot.

I'm sure another date will work out in the future, and I'm looking forward to getting my feet wet, for sure!

Welcome to AO Prince.

If you are close to New Philly, Ohio we would love to have you out to War Den Airsoft. Dont worry about the kind of equipment you have...everyone has to start with something. Whether it's a clear springer from Walmart or a Tokyo Marui your welcome to spend a day with us on the field.

You will find that there is a lot of useful information here on AO. Have fun browsing thru the forums.

Good Luck. Hope to see you on the field!

May 29th is clear on the calendar, so I'll mark it down and look up that thread. I'm from Portage, just east of Kent. For the starter events is it acceptable to wear jeans and a tshirt? I picked up a full face mask (paintball style), but I'd like to kind of scope out the feel of everything before I sink some money into a BDU and the rest of the tacticool equipment.

Prince - little late on the input, but the BTT in April was GREAT. We were there in our Jeans and t-shirts, red hats (I didn't realize how much of a DOAH that was...LOL) and no equipment, but everyone was very accommodating and the feeling was "hey, let's all learn something and be safe about it." rather than laughing at each other's gear, or lack thereof.

This type of event is what makes the activity grow. We all started somewhere and we still have some of our springers, so don't let that stop ya! Looking forward to the next BTT event.
