Umarex/Top Tech H&K MP5-SD5

The Heckler & Koch MP5 has been the CQB weapon of choice for military and government operatives around the world for better part of the last half century. Weighing in at just over five and a half pounds this 9mm select fire submachine gun gained popularity for being lightweight and easy to maneuver. There have been over 120 different variants of the MP5 each addressing specific tactical requirements making the gun extremely versatile.

This airsoft replica of the MP5 is fully licensed with H&K trademarks through Umarex. It is manufactured under contract by Top Tech of Taiwan and uses their own Pneumatic Blow Back gearbox. Unlike other AEG blow backs which use a tow hook design where the bolt is physically pulled back by the piston, the Top Tech pneumatic system incorporates a secondary cylinder on top of the gearbox which uses a very small amount of air compressed from the main piston to drive back the bolt. Since the system operates solely on air pressure it does not put any stress on your gearbox and does not affect its rate of fire. Also, unlike most tow hook systems the bolt will only recoil when the gun fires making it much more realistic. When the system operates it emits a series of metallic sounds which combined with the noise of the air expanding the secondary cylinder gives this gun an intimidating report.

Top Tech is partnered with G&G and have used their rugged EGM body for their creation. This two piece metal body quickly separates after simply removing a single pin from the receiver making them very easy to take down for maintenance or modification. They used a Version 2 gearbox which although modified for their pneumatic system is still compatible with most aftermarket upgrade parts. Although out of the box this gun is already pretty well equipped with steel gears running on 8mm bearing bushings, a steel core spring guide with bearing, a ported aluminum piston head with bearing and low resistance wiring.

The H&K MP5-SD5 configuration features an integral mock suppressor, a full stock and ambidextrous selector switches along with authentic HK style rotary rear sight and hooded front sight. Its stock is spacious enough to house large type batteries up to a 9.6v 4500mah. However, for reliability reasons we do not recommend using a battery this large as it can push the guns rate of fire to damaging levels. Using only an 8.4v battery this gun will produce a withering 1,000 rounds per minute which will put 16 rounds in the air in less than one second. This coupled with a healthy muzzle velocity of 350 fps makes this an ideal gun for both indoor and outdoor fields of play.

Putting together the sheer shooting enjoyment of the pneumatic blow back, the awesome build quality and design, plus the fact that this is one of the first quality MP5 AEGs to be licensed by H&K makes this a must have for the collector and shooter alike.

Please Note: Since the pneumatic blow back operates on back pressure from the piston, the bolt will only recoil fully when the gun is loaded.

This Umarex product comes with a 1 YEAR warranty provided by Umarex USA. Warranty repair or replacement on this item must go through the Umarex service center and does not fall under the Shorty USA warranty.

King Arms Thompson Model 1928 AEG Softair Gun

Carried by war heroes and gangsters alike, the Thompson has had a very long and colorful career which spanned over 60 years. The .45 cal submachine gun better known as the Tommy Gun first entered production in 1921 and quickly became the weapon of choice during the infamous gang wars of the prohibition period. It also saw heavy use during WWII and continued to see service well into the Vietnam War.

This variant of the Thompson is modeled after the Model 1928 which was the model seen being used by the 1920’s gangsters as they roared down Chicago’s streets while standing on the running boards of their Packard squad car. This model is not exactly historically accurate since the real Model 1928 had the bolt on the top of the receiver instead of on the side however it is still an awesome looking model. There is great attention to detail throughout from the heat sync on the barrel to the Cutts compensator on its muzzle. It even comes with a metal type L drum magazine which holds an impressive 450 rounds!

Manufactured under contract by King Arms this Thompson M1A1 has a very high metal content which includes the upper receiver and barrel as well as many other smaller parts such as the sling mount and sector/safety switches. On top of being metal, its upper receiver even features trademarks from Auto Ordnance Corp. for added realism. Its stock, pistol grip and foregrip are constructed out of dense ABS plastic with a very convincing wood grain finish. One interesting feature is the unique curvature of the stocks butt plate which enables the shooter to rock the gun up from the ready position to the shouldered firing position in one fluid movement. Overall the gun is extremely well built with notably good balance and rock solid feel.

The gearbox is a full metal Version 6 with steel gears running on 6mm metal bushings for increased durability. It has been fitted with a ported piston head and a high performance spring which produces a velocity of 400+ fps at the muzzle using a .2g BB. Powered by an 8.4v battery the Thompson will achieve 650 rounds per minute which is only slightly off from the 700 rounds per minute of the real M1A1 submachine gun. With its adjustable hop-up system the gun is able to accurately fire BBs weighing from .2g all the way up to .28g. The adjustment dial for the hop-up system is craftily hidden in the guns mock ejection port allowing for easy access to fine tune your accuracy on the run.

The overall quality in the appearance and feel of the King Arms Thompson is noticeably better than the preceding models from CYMA yet is priced surprisingly close. If you are a war buff or simply want a unique AEG to take to your next skirmish, the King Arms Thompson is one gun you should add to your collection.

Included with the Thompson is an 8.4v 2000mah mini type battery pack, 300mah trickle charger, speed loader and sling. Charge time: 6.6 hours

(Just FYI: The stock is able to accept the massive 8.4v 4200mah battery although the butt plate can not close the last couple of millimeters. However, if you were to knock out a couple of tabs inside of the stock it fits perfectly.)

  • Operation: Electric
  • Fire mode/s: Semi / Full Auto

Cybergun/G&G FN F2000 AEG Softair Rifle

Even though the F2000 looks like a rifle that would only be seen in a video game, it is in fact a real assault rifle designed by FN Herstal. This Belgian company conceived the futuristic looking rifle around the turn of the Millennium and it carries many of the distinguishing features found on their P90. Chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO round, the F2000 was designed as a modular assault rifle for the modern day solider and with a price tag of over $2,000 USD is among the most prestigious assault rifles out there.

This airsoft model is manufactured by G&G Armaments with full FN Herstal licensing through Cybergun. It features an ergonomic nylon fiber stock with a full metal barrel and a 10 inch accessory rail. The rifle is fully ambidextrous with a centrally located magazine release and rotary fire selector so the rifle can be operated just as easily by either a left or right handed shooter. The F2000 is a bull pup design with the chamber and magazine located behind the trigger group which allows for a 430mm inner barrel even though the whole rifle measures only 28 inches long. Despite its futuristic look, you do not have to worry about proprietary magazines since the F2000 is compatible with those used by M4/M16 series AEGs. For those who like to tweak their rifles, you will be happy to know that the F2000 is just as easy to break down as a P90. Pushing the captured locking bolt through the body releases the barrel group which can then be slid right off of the rifle. If you want to take the gearbox out, it is a simple matter of taking out two screws and pushing it out of the buttstock.

G&G fitted the F2000 with a modified version 6 gearbox which is among the strongest AEG gearboxs out there as well as being very easy to service. The gearbox is fitted with such goodies as 8mm bearing bushings, steel gears and a bearing spring guide. However, the spring guide has a very unique design in that it can be adjusted inside of the gearbox shell to change how much the spring compresses. This makes it possible to increase the rifles muzzle velocity by over 10% from one end of the adjustment range to the other. This design also makes it possible to remove the spring guide from the rear of the gearbox so you can switch out springs without needing to disassemble the gearbox.

On the firing line the F2000 proved it is a highly accurate rifle capable of very tight groupings even during fully automatic fire. And, with the spring guide adjusted for maximum compression the rifle packed quite a punch with 410 fps at the muzzle. Another cool feature of this rifle is its two stage trigger. Just like a P90, the rotary selector switch has the standard Safe, Semi and Full settings. In full auto, if you were to pull the trigger all of the way through the rifle will continue to fire until you release the trigger. However, if you only squeeze the trigger back half way, the rifle will fire one shot in semi auto.

Being futuristic and high tech in both looks and design, the F2000 is in a class of its own. With its compact design, adjustable muzzle velocity and compatibility the M4/M16 magazines makes this rifle extremely versatile in many areas.

Please note: The F2000 is compatible with high capacity M4/M16 series AEG magazines although it is not compatible with most mid capacity or standard magazines without the magazines being modified first. The housing for the BB detent on most mid capacity magazines is longer than on high capacity magazines which bottoms out before the magazine is fully inserted. However, we did find that the Real Sword 130rd mid capacity magazines have a shorter housing and work perfectly in the F2000.

Cybergun/KWC Desert Eagle .50AE CO2 Blow Back Metal Slide & Barrel (semi auto only version)

With its massive size and distinctive design, the Desert Eagle is among the most widely recognized handguns ever produced. It has been wielded by heroes and henchmen alike in practically every action film over the last decade making it a Hollywood icon of intimidating firepower. Chambered in the .50AE caliber round the mighty Desert Eagle would leave a gaping hole in anything unfortunate enough to be in its way.

This airsoft replica features fully licensed trademarks from Israel Military Industries (I.M.I.) etched into its metal slide and displays the companies crest on its pebble textured grips. Weighing in at a hefty 2.5 lbs this pistol is quite the boat anchor due to a wide array of metal parts to include a metal slide and barrel. The only main plastic part to be found on this pistol is its lower frame which is solidly constructed out of ABS. As you can see, this pistol houses the 12 gram CO2 cartridge inside of a standard sized magazine so it retains its streamlined profile unlike the previous CO2 version which needed an oversized magazine to house the cartridge.

When we chronographed this pistol it averaged a healthy 320 fps using a .2g BB and was effective out to 120 feet. Although, we did notice that its hop-up was pretty aggressive and would cause .2g BBs to curve up. For this reason we don’t suggest using anything lighter than a .25g. Shooting this pistol is great fun because unlike other CO2 pistols which recoil with a sharp jab, the recoil of the Desert Eagle would be best described as a strong shove. If you don’t have a good grip when you squeeze off a round the inertia of the heavy slide recoiling will actually lift the muzzle of the pistol.

Because of its size and weight it might not be the best choice for a sidearm however for pure shooting entertainment the Desert Eagle CO2 receives a high score.

Comes with: Loading Tool and Allen Wrench

(Please note: The hop-up adjustment on this pistol is a little different than what you might be used to. With the hand of the hop-up dial is centered (pointing straight up) the hop-up is turned all of the way down. Moving the hand to the left or the right of center will increase the hop-up.)
  • Operation: CO2 Blow Back
  • Fire mode/s: Semi Auto
  • Muzzle velocity: 320 fps w/ .2g
  • Effective range: 120 feet
  • Rate of fire: N/A
  • Ammo type: High polished .25g to .28g
  • Hop Up: Adjustable
  • Weight: 2.5 lbs
  • Magazine capacity: 21 rds

KWA KZ75 NS2 Blow Back Pistol Metal Slide & Frame

*
If you are trying to piece together an authentic soviet loadout or are just tired of the countless 1911 and M9 variants which have flooded the market, look no further than the KZ75 from KWA. This newest version of the KZ75 features a full metal slide and frame so that it is nearly the exact same weight as its real steel counterpart. Plus, being equipped with the NS2 system makes this version cycle faster, hit harder and is far more gas efficient than the earlier model.

For those of you who have never held a KZ75 before, the first thing you will notice when you pick up this streamlined pistol is just how good it feels in your hand. Even though its design dates back to the Cold War era, its ergonomics rival some of todays better pistols. In fact its design was so good that many other manufactures are still incorporating some of its features into their own models today. KWAs model replicates this fine pistol in great detail from the unique slide-in-frame design right down to the grip pattern. Each pistol comes with sequential serial numbers, laser etched markings and a sudden urge to speak with a Russian ascent.

After squeezing off a few rounds you will soon realize what a remarkable pistol this is since its aesthetically pleasing appearance is only half of the story. The KZ75 has an extremely fast cycle rate which makes it very well suited for fast paced shooting. Gunning down multiple targets in quick succession is no problem with this pistol since its NS2 system is so efficient you can dump the entire 23 round magazine without any noticeable cool down affect. That performance and efficiency combined with a exceptionally smooth pulling hair trigger makes the KZ75 one nice shooting pistol.

Superb build quality, excellent detail and snappy performance makes the KZ75 a pistol that any comrade would be happy to own.

KWA 1911 MK Series PTP Gas Blow Back Pistols

A long awaited addition to KWAs PTP line-up, the Mark series pistols are a fine example of why KWA is known for making some of the finest gas pistols in the world. Based on the classic 1911, the Mark series pistols are as beautiful to the eye as they are brutal to the enemy. Although these pistols are some of the sharpest looking 1911 models we have seen to date they were not designed just to be flashy showpieces. These pistols were designed to meet the performance demands of the weekend warrior as well as the training professional.

On the firing line it does not take long to see that these pistols were designed for fast paced shooting. Their cycle rate is blindingly fast. So fast that you could foreseeability fire off two shots with the PTP before the slide on a WE Tech 1911 could return to battery after one. This fast cycle rate does not come at the cost of performance either. Chronographing these pistols showed an average of 350 fps with a .2g BB putting them well into the power range of an AEG.

Each of the Mark series pistols is constructed with a high quality metal slide and frame which feature laser etched markings and sequential serial numbers. Impressive attention to detail can be found throughout these models since everything from the firing pin to barrel bushing looks just like it would on the real firearm.

The Mark I PTP adheres closest to the classic 1911 tactical look with a standard military length guide rod, three dot white combat sights, standard magazine well and an extended thumb safety. As with the rest of the Mark Series 1911s from KWA, the Mark I is equipped with front and rear slide serrations, skeletonized hammer and trigger, functional beavertail grip safety and adjustable trigger stop.

The Mark II PTP represents the modern adaptation of Josh M. Browning’s original design with a standard military length guide rod, three dot white combat sights, standard magazine well and ambidextrous extended thumb safeties. As with the rest of the Mark Series 1911s from KWA, the Mark II is equipped with front and rear slide serrations, skeletonized hammer and trigger, functional beavertail grip safety and adjustable trigger stop. Unlike some Mark Series, however, the Mark II comes equipped with a railed frame allowing the attachment of lights and lasers. The Mark II also features a lanyard loop and tactical grips which are not available on any of the other models.

The Mark III PTP boasts characteristics and parts improved over Josh M. Browning’s original design with a bull barrel, two dot white combat sights, flared magazine well and ambidextrous extended thumb safeties. As with the rest of the Mark Series 1911s from KWA, the Mark III is equipped with front and rear slide serrations, skeletonized hammer and trigger, functional beavertail grip safety and adjustable trigger stop. The Mark III also has the the addition of frontal serrations/checkering on the frame for a more positive grip and a more profound beavertail grip safety.

The Mark IV PTP is a culmination of the features found on the other Mark Series Pistols. The Mark IV is equipped with a bull barrel, two dot white combat sights, flared magazine well and ambidextrous thumb safeties. As with the rest of the Mark Series 1911s from KWA, the Mark II is equipped with front and rear slide serrations, skeletonized hammer and trigger, functional beavertail grip safety and adjustable trigger stop. The Mark IV also features frontal serrations/checkering on the frame for a more positive grip and a more profound beavertail grip safety.

The performance, build quality and appearance of these pistols is without a question among the best we have seen. Whether you intend to get into some serious training or simply want a superb 1911 model, look no further than the KWA Mark series.

This KWA product comes with a 45 day warranty provided by KWA USA. Warranty repair or replacement on this item must go through the KWA service center and does not fall under the Shorty USA warranty.

Please note: All of the KWA Mark series 1911 pistols have the same magazine and are completely interchangeable. However, the are not compatible with the original KWA M1911A1 magazines or vice versa.

Hakkotsu Thunder B CO2 Soundflash Grenade Kit B

The Hakkotsu Thunder B sound grenade is a highly realistic sound distraction device which is modeled after the stun grenades (aka. flashbang) used by military and law enforcement entry teams when breaching a building or clearing a room. The size, shape and function of the Thunder B is very similar to the real grenade which makes them extremely fun to use and heightens the excitement of airsoft engagements.

The Thunder B sound grenade is powered by a single 12 gram CO2 cartridge. When you pull the pin and release the spoon, compressed CO2 is released into the outer plastic shell. When the shell reaches its maximum pressure after approximately 5 seconds, it detonates in a thunderous boom similar to an MRE bomb. The shouting and series of hand signals which ensued after the initial inner office detonation concluded that the Thunder B was a lot louder than we had anticipated. The sound which this thing produces is no joke. It registers around 130db and it will definitely make you flinch. The shell typically ruptures down the sides and usually stays in once piece so there is minimal risk of flying debris.

We have also experimented with putting about 500 BBs into the shell which resulted in BBs being hurtled about 50 feet in several directions. You can also mix about 2 tablespoons of baby powder in with the BBs, or just have baby power alone, which results in a nice simulated smoke cloud upon detonation. (Do note that the more area which is filled inside the grenade, the less time it takes to go of. So, experiment at your own risk.)

To arm the Thunder B grenade, cock the striker back and insert the safety pin into the rear hole of the striker housing to hold the striker back. Close the spoon (handle) over the striker and hold it firmly. Remove the pin and reinsert it into the front hole to secure the spoon with the striker underneath of it. Then, a single 12 gram CO2 cartridge is inserted into the primer core. The primer core is then inserted into the disposable plastic shell and screwed on just like you would screw on a bottle cap. Your Thunder B grenade is now ready to rock and roll.

The Thunder B sound grade is reusable although you will use up 1 CO2 cartridge and 1 sound grenade shell for each detonation. Replacement shells are available from us and only cost about $1.25 each.

Comes with: Primer core assembly, 4 safety pins and 12 shells.
