Help Fixing Overspin

Hey all, I just installed a lonex a2 motor into my kwa m4 and it's causing overspin with my 11.1v 2000mah 15c lipo. There are no issues when I use my 7.4v, so I'm pretty certain overspin is the issue. The only internal I've changed is upgrading the spring to an m120. I know the usual fix for this is to install lower ratio gears with a stronger spring, but I'd like to avoid that route if possible. Do you guys know of any other fixes? Would just using a lower mah 11.1v do it? Thanks!

When you say overspin, you mean that one pull of the trigger on semi-auto fires two shots? If so, a good mosfet may solve the issue via active braking -- There is some debate on if this is hard on the motor or not, but I have used this in the past in similar circumstances. A smaller 11.1 lipo probably wouldn't help much unless it were so small that the motor struggled to pull back the spring, in which case you'd be better off just running a 7.4.

No it doesn't fire 2 shots with each trigger pull, but after each semi shot the piston will be in the rearward position with the spring compressed and the air nozzle will be forward.
