My apology Bushmaster. I thought we could also discuss the technicality of the gun too. Sorry, I will stay out of it then.

I don't think that was he was getting at
I think he just didn't want a fight to start causing this thread to be locked
Please discuss everything polarstar
That's the point of this thread!

I started this thread in hopes it would become AO's "Oficial Polarstar Thread"
This is the place for everything polarstar related

That is what I thought too.

So lets get back with the technical things: Is the Polarstar potentially "water proof" ?

Also, are any any specific gun brands or model that Polarstar can't fit in?
For example, could I use a Classic Army SCAR or an A&K Masada as the platform for the fusion engine?

I would only assume
Just as long as the circuit board doesn't short out and you dry it completely
Though I don't want to test firing 800+ dollars underwater hahaha

It is not so much about shooting under water more into the fact that you could go under water, resurface further, than just have to shoot few shots through the barrel to dry it out and be good to go again. That would definitely be a huge advantage over any other AEGs.

Especially at the field that I play at (RiverBottom Assault) there it a little river running through the middle of the field and I can't tell you how many times people have fallen into the water
I haven't asked them how their AEG came out but I'm sure they had a slight problem

If you seal it off well enough, it could be. I would be too afraid of the FCU.

Love this thread btw, I don't have alot of time right now so i'll post my gun alittle bit later.

Specs:
Magpul MOE CQB
300mm ORGA 6.23
Stock g&p hop unit
Maple Leaf 80degree bucking
rhop
mnub

Adding:
Red nozzle
red low flow poppet

Currently, chrono at roughly 345fps with .25's at 90psi
with red/red set up looking to get around 390fps with .25's at 70-75psi...

I'm thinking if you put an o-ring in the buffer tube (or wherever your fcu is) it might work

The think is you would HAVE to dry it... Even though the aluminum of the FE won't corrode like it would if it were steel it would still cause damages to it in the long run especially with the contacts and the little springs within

The thing about the FE is that there are cross-drilled holes in the body of it, that would pretty much expose the internal lines to the water. I am not a electician or anything. I have played in the rain with it, aaaand that is about all i am tryin' to do. Unless I strike it rich and buy a Zodiac and practice my SEALS moves on a beach...wait. nah.

It would take a lot to completely water proof it..... I know that I would be a lot but if you wanted to, a place to start would be to o-ring it all

..... That or put it in a giant plastic bag

Let me throw this in since it was my picture that was commented on, I only installed that trigger to adjust the pull distance to my comfort level. You can make them über short and shoot stupid fast as well but the other side of that is you can get it close enough to reduce pulling your shots and long enough to safely stop your shots if you are about to pull and then realize its a friendly. I don't need the speed, in fact my auto fire rps is set to 10 which is close to an actual m4.

It was nice for you to clear that up
I was probably going to get that for that purpose anyway because I don't have that good of a trigger finger anyway so I was thinking for the straight trigger and tune it to my compfort mainly for the purpose of comfort.

Sorry for the very large crappy pic above
No clue how to resize it on my phone

Wink Trollerstar

Here's a pic of my Troller.....er..um I mean Polarstar. Pretty basic I simply converted my JG, Madbull metal body, Jg inner/outerbarrel, prowin hop up with a diy flat hop.

http://www.airsoftohio.com/forums/al...ictureid=20802

Personally I made the jump to p * for the amazing trigger response and the simple fact that it is virtually mainteneince free. I generally don't use it FA but I keep my FA rps in the mid 20's semi rps is pretty quick but no way near a stock aeg on FA. Also by the way contrary to popular belief my trigger is stock and my finger isn't lightening charged. However I am quite effective at suppressing targets on semi.

I would also like to note that my air nozzle is a stock blue nozzle an my fps is 320 with a .25 at around 80psi and it still outshoots my 500fps ICS DMR. Also somehow it get's a lot more complaints than the ICS. But it also gets more good shot comments from those who don't get to butthurt.

Overall all the good outweighs the bad and I won't be going back to a aeg anytime soon despite the haters.

Inside the FE
I took it all apart (out of the body and took off the front plate) and it sounds like its coming from the little silver box on the rear of the cylinder
It's hard to diagnose it with 3 tubes all in one small area and all I hear is hissing haha

Some guy told me that if you send it to polarstar and all you have to do is pay for the shipping to their hq and then they fix it for free
Soooo I'm good with that

I use the black nozzle for being fps legal

I'm working on tuning in a red nozzel with an orga barrel to get under 1 joule. I acheived it once before with a different hop chamber and barrel, then switched from the g&p chamber to a prowin and was at 1.19 joules. After changing from a 6.01 to a 6.23 barrel I feel I will be able to acheive .98 joules again.

Hey p* smart peoples, I have a problem with my polarstar. The nozzle doesn't retract half of the time, so no round is loaded into the chamber. Video of the problem here.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Turn your dn up (nozzle dwell) it sounds like yours is very low. It will affect your ROF (slow it down), but actually shooting and cycling a bb is more important than sounding like a minigun.

Never mind, I was thinking of dr not re.
