Well I mean it might work then...
Now I have a question for some people that know the difference bet teen a v2 and a v3:
If I have a rifle that is a v3, would a v2 FE fit into it?.... I've never used a v3 (except for now) and I haven't ever seem the shape of it compared to a v2
Any thoughts

No, a V2 engine would not fit into a V3 body.

I know this probably isn't supposed to be asked here (sorry moderators!), but I managed to crack the front of the gearbox of my project M4, so if anyone has a fusion engine they wanna get rid of, then I'd be happy to talk with you! I've been looking to start into the realm of polarstars. All of my airsoft experience thus far has been behind the stock of an AEG, and I'd like to diversify a bit, I suppose lol.

Well there's no going wrong with polarstar! And you could probably get just an FE from someone for like 400 around...
They're a great platform

So I ordered a 249 engine to try to install into my A&K m60vn... No dice. There was only one thing to do...

Buy the right platform to install the FE into, problem solved.

Hey Slow, Captain Bingo has a guide on installing into a M60 here: http://www.bingoairsoftworks.com/m60...ne-conversion/

Looks like the guide doesn't have a few of his measurements for the aluminum bar stock he used to make a cradle. If you try it just shoot him an email, he's a very helpful dude.

The 249 FE is to thick for the body, also the micro switch is mounted in a much different location. I am going to run this for awhile and see how it goes, I might leave the m60 as an aeg for back up situations.

honestly i think you should try to get it to work with the M60 because with polarstars you usually see m4's or m249's

I would love a polarstar m60 but right now I just dont think I can support it. I may end up calling bingo to see if they can rig something up but right now I have a big game coming up this weekend near mt. fuji and another next month at a field in chiba so I dont want to mess up what I already have.

Terrible. I was told I would not be allowed to use my P* at the fields I play at in japan because people are afraid of external air powered guns. I tried to show them that I have not just one but 2 locks for the pressure adjustment but the managers refused to listen. Its very disappointing to me as I thought japan would be very progressive as far as tech goes but it seems that they are the equivalent of the flat earth society, they claim witchcraft and burn things they don't understand on a steak. Whats even more disappointing is my reputation with other players is very high, them saying that my system is dangerous is an insult, they may as well call me a cheater to my face. Very sad display of ignorance and an incapability to try to comprehend something new.

chronograph your gun and show them you are below their joule limit 0.98 joules. That's my favorite thing to do right now is to talk about how low my gun is shooting. My guns built for range and consistency, all at a low fps so I don't have a MED.

The chrono isn't the issue, its that it uses an external air tank. To give you an idea of how ridiculously stupid its gotten, today I was not only told I couldn't use my P*, I was also told I couldn't use propane, even though I was below the .98 joule limit. Its genuinely pissing me off that I can't seem to find a field to play at, it seems everybody here just wants to dress up and look at tentical porn instead of being involved with the hobby and learning about existing tech and new products. I honestly can't believe how angry this has made me.

But didn't a lot of classic airsoft guns use HPA/CO2? Are they not allowed either? Does seem dumb to me too.

Yes A lot of the pre marui stuff used systems with external air, it seems there was a problem with people turning the psi up and causing injuries with the early systems. However this still doesn't explain the propane, and if they had a problem with the old air systems they should have solved it with logic rather than just getting rid of an entire genre of tech.

It's the Japanese, there's your problem. They're very strict about what is a toy and what is an OMGDEATHRAY.
