AK Modification Question

Alrighty guys, my ASM order came today, and I have recognized a folly in my order. I bought

http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/CYMA...-c30-mount.htm

^^This, and my AK is a CM-028u model, with no screw holes for the side mount. My question is, since I bought a Rail Adapter and a red dot, and don't want to deal with returning them, would I be able to drill small holes in the body in order to put the screws in? I know where to put the holes, and I don't think it will mess up anything internal wise, but I'm not 100% sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gah, sorry. Basically it's a mount to attach the rail adapter on. The one that some AKs come with already attached.

I would say you could, but dont do it with the gearbox still in the gun, and the problem you may run into is finding screws the right length so you can put your gear box back into the body. IMO the hassle of returning is going to be less than potential hassle of ruining your gun.

Disassemble the replica, emptying the receiver. Drill, tap, and you're golden.

I picked up a tap and dye set at harbor freight for like 12-15$(?) to turn a left hand thread on my tm socom for its scope mount to a right hand thread. It's pretty simple really. Just take'r slow and you'll be fine. Also, I'd make sure to use a level when marking the drill points so your sights are level as well

If you don't want to remove the gearbox and drill/tap holes for the mount, another thing you can do sand the receiver where the mount should go and use JB Weld to attach the mount.

It's obviously not ideal, but JB Weld is strong as hell. Should hold fine provided you sand the paint off the receiver. Just don't use superglue, eventually your scope will hit something and and the whole thing will fall off. Also use a level like operator863 said above to make sure it's completely level, and clamp the mount down tight while drying.
