Not really... It's in Canadian dollars, plus airsoft is expensive for the Canadians.

that and they're only selling .25's and higher, and those are always more expensive to start with anyway. So they probably come out to about the same anyway.

Accuracy for sniping? If you were shooting 550-600 FPS, I could see using a .4 for around 125-150 feet dead-on accuracy. Not sure exactly how effective a .4 would be, but, maybe someone could try, eh?

I know .34 and .43 bbs are standard 8mm weights. And I know KSC makes very nice .3 BBs.

I got hit in the groin once, less than 100 feet with a WE Dragon running green gas. Lucky my pants we loose so I felt it hit but there was no pain.

.43g bbs were perfect for the 600fps bolt action rifles...

Just here to clear a few things up...
Airsoft in Canada is much different from the states.
For starters, our firearms laws restrict replica guns, which means we cannot use full colored models. Our manufacturers are forced to make them clear, or atleast the bottom reciever.
Example- http://s1.webstarts.com/TAAS/auto-electric_guns.html
Also, they are concidered restricted if they shoot 500+FPS, therfor higher weight is desired for more accurate shots. Even if it doesn't go as far, with many people shooting 350-475 they need that little extra push.
God, I love all that red tape...

Greetings

Interesting what turns up in Google...

I am the Head Bastard for BB Bastard airsoft BBs. And yes, our pricing is in Canadian dollars and is marketed to Canadian airsoft players.

Depending on the exchange rate, our 2000 count bags would be between $7.50 or $9 USD. A couple of things contribute to higher cost BBs here (and anything imported in general). We have PST and GST taxes included in the BBs which is 13% and the CBSA import fees from Asia, as well as the shipping costs. We also don't have the same economies of scale as you do in the US - heck, California's economy is bigger than all of Canada from what I understand, so we don't command the same kind of quantity based buying power that you guys do.

Also, its a premium BB product, not some bulk ricebag stuff. We also do a lot of sponsoring of Canadian airsoft events and have a network of player representatives at a lot of local fields who sell directly to players at games and events.

We've redone the website recently and gone to pure distribution, so drop by and have a look.
