Umarex H&K Full Metal 416 C

Hello, was In Cleveland at the indoor range and looked at a bunch of guns. I am looking to find a good gun that will take me through the winter and maybe a bit outside in the spring as well. I am looking to get the Umarex H&K Full Metal 416 C I have done some research and watched some youtube vids on it. Anyone here have any comments for a new guy on this. Also I am not sure if I want a chest rig or a plate carrier. Any thoughts there as well. I understand this is all individual taste but again I am curious. I hope to make a gun purchase next week and go from there.

If you're not comfortable or familiar with the inner works of an AEG, I wouldn't recommend buying a VFC. They are not really "beginner-friendly" guns. They are more of a project gun to sink some money into on top of the $300-$500 you pay out of the box.

On a personal note, you may want to look into picking up a replacement buffer tube and stock to replace the HK416C stock and buffer tube assembly. I have read it is somewhat flimsy and fragile.

I love the 416C and would pick one up if I had the money. Even as just a collector's piece, Hk guns are pure class!!!

The Umarex VFC has a 1 year warranty.

The stock issue has been resolved according to Elite Force. They increased the amount of material where the threads are located. From the guns I have handled, they are performing quite well. No claims on the 1 year warranty yet on my end. You may observe a bad motor here and there, but this is true for ANY airsoft gun at this point.

The hopups are trash though. A cheap fix, and not always necessary.

That's good to know, Spectre. I see VFC use that stock on another M4 variant. Personally, i would prefer a standard LE style stock.

Buy the gun, sell the stock for like a 100 bucks. Most people buy it simply for the stock.
