If anyone religously follows my blog for any reason, go get some sunshine or something...
Jk, anyway on with it.
My dad came back for 2 weeks R&R on the 28th of december (i only got a week with him before it was back to college
), but im glad he was out of the combat zone for a while.
He was also glad to be back, insisted i somehow grew a bit (yeah, right, not at 18 going on 19), and enjoyed the little things: Good Food, a tv bigger than 15 inches,...

Don't get me wrong, AO is a good site, when there's not a flamewar going on or other drama in which someone plagarizes Red's genius and posts it here, its a great place to see what my fellow airsofters are up to. This includes photos. Now for a little non-red plagarized complaint.
After the open at BTT on the 31st. pictures went up on here, one of them showed some kids with masks off mags in and fingers on the trigger: a big no no (I was the safety officer for that day, i take responsibility)....

The newest toy to help manage my chronic disease, a constant glucose monitor (CGM). It is a device that monitors my blood sugar from an injection site every 5 minutes and allows me to monitor my blood sugars levels over a period between 1- 6 hours.
when i first set it up, i wasnt impressed, a simple 4 button interface and a transmitter you have to insert...

my dads made it down to San Antonio Texas, which means a few things.
1. He has a lot of catching up to do, considering youre usually given a year to prepare and hes leaving in July.
2. He's getting a new Camo (it's not ACU, he said theyre getting something else, maybe multicam??
)
3. his Cadillac Sedan Deville is mine
Hes told me theres a lot of catching up to do as stated before, and he said hes warming up. His warrant officer...

after a week of waiting for confirmation, the word is out, my father is going on a tour of duty to afghanistan.
How do i feel about it? A mix of concern and pride, in other words i dont exactly know how the hell i feel.
Obviously when someone in your family is going to a potentially dangerous place, you will have concern for them. but at the same time, i know he won't be in danger (he's a Col in Expeditionary sustainment) and he certainly didn't survive the first gulf...
