Getting back in

Posted 12-03-2013 at 12:01 AM by Mallets
In the beginning you know, plate carriers , m4s, all the extras. I had that . I had fake, replica everything. I got real high end stuff, different stuff. No one really cared, no one cares still. But I sold a lot of it, I own my original gun , its non working and in peices, but ive sold my 30 or so other guns, multiple bags, rigs etc.

A lot of people start with springers and such. I though hey, I want to go back to high speed low drag, light weight sniping. I got a classic army svd and a feg mags, traded some stuff for a cyma zm51 bolt action thingy. I think it will be fun.

I used to have a team when I started out. We were all from the same area and were around the same age. My team kinda died cause I moved to bigger better things. And in foing that, I lost my team. I played by myself and msde a few friends. I started a photo series that helped me meet more people but we only saw them at events during chrono and lunch. I kinda wshed I had close friends in airsoft.

I "joined" the forsaken knights soon after that and I was real close the jordan and jay but still dont know anyone else on the team. Ive made more friends on differnt teams and have taken more pictures but I haven't played in a while now and neither has my team. Im not really a gearwhore anymore and its weird, cause thats what I was about. Theres been a lot of discussion reciently. People talk about having fun. Which isnt always a priority of mine. I love getting my mission objective complete but I feel like not very many people share the same feelings. Im kinda rambling now, but.... discuss??? Idk mission objectives , sniper roles, ammo conservation, very specific everything.

You getting back into airsoft? I've wanted to for a bit, considering I haven't played since I bought my Datsun a couple years ago. Just need a (working) gun and a plate carrier.

Well first off welcome back, secondly life seems to happen to a lot of people. I know for me it was school I try to get out and still play but I find it hard especially right now to do that when I have school that I should be studying for. A lot of the older gents are still out here at events, don't get me wrong we have lost quite a few over the years that I remember growing up playing airsoft with and thinking how BA they were. To comment on your statement of doing your mission objective or having fun I pose the question of why not have both? I have always loved objectives that's how I am, however I have always felt that it's the people that you are with that either make it or break it fun wise. I think one of my best days I've ever had was a day that we tried as best we could to accomplish an objective but quite simply put we were just shut out. The people I was with that day made it tremendously fun though with the humor and semi role playing. Just a few thoughts!

I am 22 and have a decent job for a 22yr old, but my car insurance is stupid crazy expensive because of a few speeding tickets and my old insurance company screwing me. However I have decided to get back into airsoft because I miss the adrenaline and the feeling of being "hunted" and also hunting other people. I am of the opinion that simple is good, and so I am not going to invest a ton of money into airsoft and am not going to acquire all of the fancy tacti-cool stuff. Some camo, nice face mask, decent boots, decent AEG, couple of spare mags and battery and that's all I need. I don't need to have everything a modern soldier has, to feel like a soldier or enjoy the game. Plus the lighter you are the longer and faster you can travel. Different people enjoy the game for different reason. As long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters. If you want to spend 1500 on all your gear go ahead, us poor people will continue on with or cymas and jgs

Whats up all. I never joined a team per say. But, I did go to some games about 8 years ago with Hostile Airsoft. It was a total blast. Not to mention, the combat experience came in handy. Now, I have the money to get into it. I am looking at some Classic army stuff. Back in the day I ran across the "Classic Army M15". I had to have it. Unfortunatly, I cant find it anywhere. The M15 seconds as a DMR ( i think it came with a MOSFET) style rifle, it also looked cool as hell
