Aesthetics of Weapons, Part II

Posted 07-03-2009 at 04:03 PM by ECHOES
We all now know what I don't like, onto the loved weapons!

Likes

10.) G3 with Wood Furniture
I love classic "battle rifles". Combines new(er) age assault rifles with the wood look of older rifles. Best of both worlds.

9.) Armalites with Tan parts
A black M16/M4 as the base with tan heat shield, tan pistol grip, and tan stock.

8.) M60 VN
The original M60 look. Big, bulky, and one of the most hardcore support weapons. Absolutely sweet.

7.) M249 Mk.II/PARA
Another support gun on my list, the M249 combines classic support with newer design.

6.) M16A4 DMR
I enjoy a M16A4 with a Harris bi-pod, silencer, optic, and using "20 rounder" style magazines.

5.) Remington 870 Marine Shotgun
Classic shotgun design, with sleek black synthetic and nickel plating. Link

4.) Benelli M3 Shotgun
I like this shotgun almost as much as the 870.

3.) AK-47
Don't even ask what look. The original or nothing.

2.) M14
Original wood stocked M14s are another classic "battle rifle". Looks great.

and #1

M1 Carbine
I love this rifle. Fun to shoot, fun to hold, fun just to use. Probably my number one favorite firearm. Both the PARA and the original style look good to me.

I disagree with the G3 choice on this one. A G3 don't look right without the bulky plastic furiniture, really makes it look beefed up. But RIS? No.

M1 Carbine as #1? Im surprised, my grumpy grandpa won't sotp complaining about how terrible the thing is. I asked him why he has a Garand instead of what he carried in the Air Force once, and he said it jammed like crap, and the round it fired just wasn't big enough.

Kind of like the AR-15...except worse.
