KWA M9 Resurrection

So I just finished resurrecting my first GBB KWA M9 and I have to say that it looks really good.

When I got it, it was VERY dirty and you could hear the grinding of dirt in the internals. I slowly disassembled the gun getting it down to the bare bones. After some work with Fantastic and toothbrush, I was able to at least get all the gunk and grime out of the tinny places. It still looked really rough but at least it was somewhat clean. Next was to use silicon spray to lube and wash out any remaining dirt.

After a thorough wash down, I decided to do a different color scheme on the grips and external barrel. I had some very dark camouflage flat brown spray paint left over from when I painted my M4 handguards, stock, and external barrel that I decided to use. I started with the grips and let them sit overnight, they came out very well so I moved onto the external barrel.

After all the painting was completed, I reassembled the entire gun and test fired it. All works great and the accuracy is very good with .25g bbs, not a bad restoration if I do say so myself. I will post pics in my album as soon as I get time.

That is a pretty good looking gun and it always feels better when you fix something up yourself... nice job
